Out with the old (literally 10-year-old websites), Out with the old (literally 10-year-old websites), in with the new! 🚀

This year, we’ve launched digital makeovers for three longtime clients—replacing the original sites we built for them roughly a decade ago.

A lot can happen in 10 years: technology leaps forward, design trends evolve, and businesses grow into completely new chapters.

Out of the 15 websites we’ve launched so far this year, these three hit extra close to home. The fact that these clients trust us to put their best digital face forward again means the world. Huge thanks to the clients who have been with us for the long haul!

SEO isn’t dead. It’s evolving — fast. AI search i SEO isn’t dead. It’s evolving — fast.

AI search is changing how people discover businesses. Visibility now requires more than keywords and plugins. If your website isn’t clearly structured, it won’t be selected.

Search engines are evaluating:
• Topic authority
• Structured data
• Internal linking
• Technical performance
• Credibility signals

Visibility isn’t optional.

Our latest article breaks down what AI-driven search means for business owners — and how to position your site for long-term growth. Read it at nolamediadesign.com.

When you’re ready to elevate your digital presence, let’s talk.
One of our longtime clients, @peristyleresidences, One of our longtime clients, @peristyleresidences, sent over this video today — and I haven’t stopped watching it.

There’s something powerful about witnessing joy at every stage of life. Having moved beyond my 50s, I find myself reflecting more — not with regret, but with clarity. Lessons learned. Wisdom earned. A deeper understanding of what truly matters.

Of course, health becomes part of the conversation. But instead of fear, I choose intention — prioritizing strength, vitality, and mind-body well-being with optimism for what’s ahead.

I’m profoundly grateful for a thriving business, good health, and extraordinary family and friends (in no particular order). And I genuinely wish the same for you — resilience in the setbacks, growth in the challenges, and the courage to embrace each season fully.
High impact, single-page websites for any industry High impact, single-page websites for any industry — strategic, and built for scale.

❌ Not a quick and cheap DIY solution you’ll outgrow and replace next year.

❌ Not a placeholder you’ll redo when things take off.

✔️ A strong digital foundation that evolves as your business does.

Because launching your website should move you forward — not create another project down the road.
It’s 2026 — is your website still doing its job? It’s 2026 — is your website still doing its job?

Websites aren’t “set it and forget it.” Performance, accessibility, security, SEO, and user expectations evolve quickly—and even strong sites can quietly fall behind.

In our latest newsletter, we share:
 • What our team has been working on
 • How modern web standards continue to shift
 • When a strategic update (or full redesign) can make a real impact

I’ve been hearing this more and more lately: “We’r I’ve been hearing this more and more lately:
“We’re just going to build the new site with AI.”

On paper, it sounds perfect — fast and effortless.

Here’s the reality: every AI-built site I’ve watched this year is still unfinished. Months later, they’re stuck on “Coming Soon”… or never launched at all.

Not because the owners aren’t capable — but because AI is a great starter and a terrible finisher. It can generate pages, not strategy.

After 30+ years as a WordPress designer, I’ve seen every “this will replace websites” wave come and go. The tools change — the fundamentals don’t.

AI works best as a supporting tool, not the project lead.

I break it all down in my latest article - link in bio.... and reach out to get your site over the finish line.

Stop Using Hashtags Like It’s 2017 — #fortheloveof Stop Using Hashtags Like It’s 2017 — #fortheloveofallthingsholy 😉

Hashtag PSA from your friendly NOLA Media & Design team:
If your brand is still cramming 10 hashtags into every post hoping for algorithmic miracles… consider this your friendly nudge... hashtags aren’t dead, but they definitely aren’t the growth hack they used to be — and using them poorly can make your brand look a little outdated.

Here’s the breakdown:
➕ LinkedIn: Use 1–3 niche hashtags. Quality > quantity. No need for #HashtaggingEveryWord.
➕ Facebook: Hashtags are not essential. If you must, stick to 1–2 simple or branded ones and keep your caption clean.
➕ Instagram: Hashtags can still help — just not 5+ of them. Use 1-3 targeted hashtags that actually match your content.

In a marketing nutshell:
✔️ Relevance beats volume
✔️ Niche > generic
✔️ Treat hashtags like seasoning — not the whole meal
✔️ Create 1–2 branded hashtags for campaigns
✔️ Keep your caption readable (we beg)

Bottom line: Hashtags can still help, but only when used intentionally. Just don’t be "that brand"... keep it modern, keep it clean, and # responsibly - #pleaseandthankyou. 😉 🙏
